Services
Kaitlyn offers a variety of services to meet your child’s individual needs and has broad clinical experience treating children with a variety of needs, delays, and disorders.
Consultation
Consultations are meant to be brief meetings to determine if there is a need for further evaluation and speech therapy. They should be a two-way interview to determine if the client and provider are a good match.
Kaitlyn also has experience working as part of a larger team and can consult with other providers on your child’s team such as: Occupational Therapists, Behavior Analysts, Teachers, Educational Specialists, Play Therapists, etc. When providers communicate, your child benefits.
Evaluation
Evaluations are necessary to determine a diagnosis, treatment plan, and the frequency/intensity of therapy.
Evaluations typically consist of: case history review, caregiver report, informal observations, questionnaires, and formal standardized testing.
After the evaluation, Kaitlyn will prepare a report and discuss the findings and results with you. You will receive recommendations regarding therapy services at this time.
Treatment
Treatment sessions target individualized goals from the treatment plan. Treatment plans are always designed with the whole child and whole family in mind, with caregivers encouraged to participate in treatment planning and sessions.
Sessions are typically 50 minutes in length, once or twice per week. During, or at the end of each session, Kaitlyn will discuss your child’s progress with you and review strategies that you can implement outside of structured sessions.
