Speech Pathologists understand what a child isn’t saying.

Crawford Speech and Feeding Inc. is a pediatric private practice, owned by Kaitlyn Crawford M.A., CCC-SLP, providing speech and language therapy to the greater Los Angeles Area. Sessions are provided in your home or another community environment, such as preschool, private school, the park, the beach, the grocery store, and more. This not only saves caregivers precious time by not sitting in LA traffic, but encourages a more personal relationship.

Kaitlyn is committed to uncovering your child's strengths and pushing them further.

Every treatment plan is specifically designed to address your child's unique needs in their everyday environments. By observing clients and their families spend time together and move through the world, Kaitlyn can better understand where to build upon a child's strengths and boost their areas of need.

She also has experience working more closely with other providers on your team (Occupational Therapists, Educational Specialists, Behavioral Interventionists, etc.) to provide holistic support for your child.

Meet Kaitlyn Crawford M.A., CCC-SLP.

Kaitlyn has worked with children (and adults) of all ages, helping them find the joy in communicating. Her broad experience helps her think about who your child is today and, more importantly, who they can grow to be tomorrow.

While earning her B.A. and M.A. both in Speech-Language Pathology from Indiana University-Bloomington, she also managed the Baby Language Lab, where she first began working with the youngest communicators.

After graduating, Kaitlyn moved to New Haven, Connecticut to work in a specialized school for young adults with Autism. That's where she gained experience working within a larger, multidisciplinary team, AAC, and behavior management. Seeking experience in a medical setting, Kaitlyn took a position at The Hospital for Special Care in New Britain, Connecticut, home of one of the only inpatient autism units in the country. Along with that unit, she also worked within Outpatient Autism, Pediatric Inpatient, and a community re-entry program for adults with Traumatic Brain Injury. No day was the same in this fast paced, specialized facility.

After deciding to relocate to Los Angeles with her husband, Andrew, she fell upon an amazing opportunity to work within the Birth to Three program. Finally, she'd found a passion and niche within her career, all while living in a place that she's grown to love so much.

As Kaitlyn quickly realized, Angelenos do not always have equal access to early intervention services for a multitude of reasons: unequal access to healthcare, busy work schedules, long commutes to work, limited financial resources, the list goes on. This is not acceptable, and Kaitlyn is dedicated to improving access to high quality early intervention services for her community and improving equity in education. She will accomplish this goal by: spending time in community outreach at local community centers, fielding calls from parents, and providing information on how to access and navigate therapy services.

She is also passionate about increasing representation and diversity within her field and is interested in mentoring and collaborating with current and future BIPOC SLPs.
